Carnauba Autospa's newly implemented service management system (SMS) is set to pave the way to boost employee productivity and higher efficiency for the auto detailer.
SMS is an online comprehensive job-planning and management system which allows Carnauba Autospa to efficiently plan, track and mage the job flows as well as provides back end support, such as stock monitoring, sale monitoring, accounting and customisable management reports.
"SMS automates all tasks performed by our operations department which is expected to reduce cycle time by 50 percent and reduce transaction costs by 60 percent. Furthermore, it creates a paperless environment which is in line with our mission to be environmentally friendly."said Carnauba Autospa Glenmarie branch manager P.Vasudavan at a media brief yesterday.
How does SMS work? Customers are given SIMM embedded smart cards containing their profiles, transaction histories and status of current jobs, easily accessible for modifications and updating with a simple point and click. For internal quality control and tracking purposes, handheld devices like PDAs are used by staff to access the system and carry out quality checks and record job details, thus helping management to better assess workforce productivity.
